This week, Syz finally exhibits her exquisite jewelry collection named ‘City Lights’ at the Marianne Boesky Gallery on East 64th Street.

Her collection reflects a certain freedom of form and color, her creativity is the way she plays with colors and forms like a small child, who is not bound into any confinements. It is because she was never formally trained as a jeweler, that’s why she is much freer with color and form.

‘Fun’ remains an essential part of ‘City Lights’ collection, which consists of 40-some pieces of incredible finery and exquisite zest. Syz designed a diamond, pearl, white gold and titanium bracelet to look (and stretch) like a Slinky spring and crafted oversize hoop earrings in the shape of barbed wire. Complete Fashion Article…

The Northern Irish Singer, Van Morrison chose a ‘brown eyed girl’ for his beautiful song, because of the rich uniqueness that ‘brown eyes’ celebrate. Brown the color of earth radiates an earthy glow of warmth. Some girls would die to have brown eyes for they are exotic and very expressive.

If you are one of those lucky brown eyed girl, you have a whole world of colors from lighter champagne hues to darker and dusky dramatic shades to play with because you are not bound into a circle of selective colors that the lighter eyed girls are bound in. Just as the brown dusty earth goes beautifully with its greener shades of plants, its oceanic blues, myriads of colorful flowers and fruits, grays of its skies and the darkness of the night.
