blushSome women avoid using the blush on. They are afraid that they might look over done. Whereas there are some females who just decide to use too much of blush on. To avoid looking like a clown and to get that youthful healthy glow on your cheeks it is important to use the correct technique.

The first and most important thing to remember when choosing the right color of blush on is to select a color of blush that resembles the natural glow of your cheeks after exercise.

Consider having a lighter color of blush on for day use, and a darker tone for a more dramatic evening look. Keep your blush in the same color family as your lipstick, a contrasting shade will make you look clownish. Continue reading…

hollywood-babes-flaunting-their-bob-haircutBob hairstyle comes back in fashion after every few years. Some Hollywood babes have been in the top fashion celebrities list for a long time now because of their fashionable bob. These celebrities include:

Britney Spears also made a comeback in a soft layered bob hairstyle with bangs.

Jessica Alba got her bob cut in 2005. She has a short layered bob haircut. Jessica Alba’s bob is parted off at the center with layers that start an inch below her eye. The bob makes her look young, fresh and cute. It is very low maintenance as well.

Ashley Scott comparatively has a very short bob. Many bobs are chin length or longer; but Ashley’s bob is even shorter. It goes in a round shape with fringes

Jaime Presley’s medium length, blunt bob haircut is accompanied with long bangs. It is great and makes her look fashionable. But in 2008 Jaime has softened her look with her haircut which isn’t so edgy. It is a soft and pretty bob with a full shiny fringe.

Elisha Cuthbert in contrast has a chin length bob with an angled fringe. This chin length bob is sleek and sophisticated.

Calista Flockhart opted for a bob hairstyle back in 2002. Calista’s simple cut is slightly different as it flips start near the end instead of half-way down. Back in the year 2002 Katherine Heigl had a short bob as well, as did Sarah Jessica Parker. Reese Witherspoon had a wavy hairdo parted on one side which looked somewhat like the bob.

Tiffani Amber Thiessen decided to get a straight bob haircut with layers at the front. It is the most low maintenance style and is also quite versatile.

Katie Holmes has had her chin length bob haircut with wispy bangs for a long time now. Katie Holmes bob is one of the most copied cuts of 2007 and 2008 in the US and UK.

The best haircuts for you are the haircut that suits you the best. You don’t have to try a hairstyle just because it is very trendy. Short hairstyle may not be suitable for everyone, it does enhance looks of some individuals but does not work for all.

Bob haircut has been popular for years now. Many celebrities have tried it and their choice has been copied by their fans everywhere in the world.

things-remember-when-buying-cashmere-sweaterA cashmere wool sweater is an investment. You spend hundreds of dollars just once and then enjoy the comfort, warmth and style for a lifetime.

There are a few important things to remember when buying a cashmere sweater. These are the following:

1. When you have spotted a sweater of your choice Pull gently and release the sides of the sweater. A high-quality garment which has typical tight cashmere fabrics knits returns to its proper shape. A sweater made out of loose knits does not return to its original shape.

2. Feel the fabric of the sweater you like. Categorize if it feels coarse or fuzzy. If it feels coarse that is the sign of poor quality. In the world of cashmere, soft is the key word. Lighter-colored wool sweaters are better as they are made out of natural colors. Darker dyes are harsher on the yarn; the chemical affects the softness of the wool.

3. Closely study the knit of the sweater. If the sweater is two-ply knit, it will be sturdier as compared to a one ply knit. But the great thing about cashmere wool is that the sweater still stays light weight.

4. Real cashmere wool sweaters are expensive. If you see a bargain that is too good to be true then stop and think. Cashmere and sheep wool blends have been sold as 100 percent cashmere with the label of being pure. So don’t get robbed and come home with a fake.

tie-the-knot-around-your-male-neckIn the early days of spinning and weaving longish pieces of cloth were worn either as adornment or to protect the neck from the cold. During 19th century the scarf was worn hanging down the neck in several variations and colors. With the passage of time the invention of the four-in-one-hand-knot with its distinctive narrow knot was introduced and moulded into what we now call a tie.

Nowadays ties are being crafted with today’s man in mind. A wide range of men’s ties are available in stores to suit the needs and requirements of individuals.

100% Italian silk collection of handmade men’s silk woven ties are in demand for the man of today. Match a cuff to the tie of your choice and then see if it matches the shirt you wish to wear. extra long ties are also available in the market and are especially made for the taller man. kids neckties are alse being designed for kids of style.

In case you are looking for a particular color in necktie to match your wedding theme or a an occasion , ties can bought in several colors, designs and patterns. The striped neckties look classic, polka dot ties look fashionable and solid color ties always add elegance.

A silk tie can be tied in a Windsor or Four-in-Hand several times without any problems. With minimum care you can boost the life span of your skin tie for a long time.

It is of utmost importance that you untie your necktie every time you take it off. It can be done gently by loosening the tie first, then by pulling the loop over your head and lastly by opening it completely. Then wrap the tie around your hand and place it for the night on a hanger. Crinkles and creases usually go away by the next morning, If not, hot steam from the iron will do the trick. In case you need to iron your tie, put a clean cotton or linen cloth between iron and silk and then iron. But try never to completely flatten your necktie, the tie is supposed to keep its tubular texture and shape.

Ties can be left hanging or lying down in your closet. Except the knitted ties. they should always be stored horizontally or they might wear out. The cheapest method would be to hang the tie over the crossbar of a hanger and then placing them in your closet.they should not hang too tightly in the closet so that the air can circulate sufficiently. Neckties need to be protected against the sun, dust and humidity .

Tie is one of the few accessories that complement a man’s attire to the highest degree.

introducing-the-scarfA scarf is a piece of fabric worn either on the head or around the neck. A scarf is used for warmth, fashion or for religious reasons. They can come in a variety of different colors.

The scarf was first born in Rome. It was used as sweat cloth used to wipe the sweat from neck and face in the heat of the desert. It was Originally worn by men only around their neck or as a belt around their waist. Soon women started using the scarf as fashion. It was made of cloth and not made of wool, pashimina or silk .

In countries with cold climates a  knitted scarf is tied around the neck to keep it warm. In drier, dustier climates headscarf or bandanna is worn over the head to keep the hair clean. Scarves are more than just for keeping you warm or clean. Scarves can be used as an accessory as well. A scarf can completely change the look of an outfit. I often dress around the scarf I want to wear, donning By using a neutral colored scarf you can allow your scarf to take all the attention.

Scarves have evolved over the years. Scarves are not only available in different colour now but in a variety of textures, prints and fabric too. Scarves are now being made out of cashmere, pashmina, velvet, cashmere and silk.

Many celebrities have also been seen endorsing the scarf. Jessica Alba, for instance has been seen publicly wearing the Karma scarf.

cliniquesuperfitClinique’s superfit makeup foundation comes in a small plastic bottle and offers 15 different shades. It is not as expensive as other high end foundations. It is a light weight formula which blends well on oily skin but might dry up easily on dry skin. The foundation provides medium coverage which can be built up and does not feel heavy on the face. Its oil controlling properties work for up to three to four hours, after that it is back to the oil blotting sheets.

It covers up flaws pretty well like under eye circles and whiteheads and blemishes. Despite its claim to being transfer resistant this foundation transfers from face to clothing quite easily, and you might find your coat collar full of orange/ beige smudges.

A major snag about this foundation is that it does not contain any SPF which is definitely needed in the summer months.

All in all it is not your Holy Grail foundation but it manages to hold its own amidst the various foundations out there.

oddbodypiercingsTime and again I have read about the horrors of body piercing. The stories warning people tend to come out most during the summer months. I suppose that this is the time that most vanilla types (normal non-pierced people) notice piercing the most.

But the hype is really way over the top. There are millions of people with piercing, and they range from business owners to the kid on the skateboard down the block. While those who are younger tend to be flashier with their piercing .They don’t believe this is only a young kid’s fad. I have known lots of friends that go to the office, proudly knowing that their piercing will never be noticed except by the most perceptive of people.

But what I’d really like to know is this. Why are so many people offended or fearful of piercing? It’s not the people with piercing that tend to write most of the stories or spreading rumors of horror and pain. And I notice that people without these body enhancements are the most concerned about them.

Since a piercing on one person has nothing to do with anyone else, where does the concern come from?

maybellineMaybelline Dream Matte Mousse Foundation comes in a small glass jar with a flesh-colored plastic screw-on lid. The jar is just over 2″ in diameter and is just over 1″ tall, thus can easily fit in the handbag for makeup on the go. The shades available cover a wide skin tone range with 10 different shades to choose from.

The texture of Dream Matte Mousse Foundation is very unique. It’s fluffy and whipped, like a mousse, but it’s still somewhat dense and thick. It goes on light and takes very little to make your skin look flawless. It has a slight scent but nothing unpleasant and it is suitable for sensitive skin. It is very moisturizing and provides medium coverage which can be built up.
Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Foundation must be applied with your fingers or with a foundation sponge.

Dream Matte Mousse Foundation glides on easily and feels smooth. It feels very good on the skin; it has a comfortable, moist feel. The coverage is excellent, especially for a drugstore brand. It covers the under-eye circles nicely, as well as any other flaws on the skin. It covers the bluish flaws (under-eye circles) a bit better than it covers reddish flaws (such as the occasional small spot).

This Dream Mousse leaves a matte finish, no shine at all and it smoothes out the skin and leaves a very nice, professional finish.  It is indeed very light when on and it feels as though there is no makeup on at all.
