Bahrain Fashion Week seeks to showcase the country

Hot on the heels of the Bahrain City Centre Fall Fashion Festival and the glittering fashion show launch of the new Autumn/Winter collection at Saks Fifth Avenue comes the much anticipated three-day Bahrain Fashion Week 2010, topping off a stylish autumn here in the kingdom. Celebrating its third year, it is fast becoming an attraction for regional and global designers and fashionistas alike.

Throughout the world, millions of people are preparing for their city’s Fashion Week. A number of countries are hosting the event this year, including Bahrain.
Bahrain Fashion Week (BFW) is fast becoming an attraction for designers regionally and internationally by delivering a multinational and diverse fashion experience. After the closure of the BFW 2009 season, BFW has established itself as a highly successful and widely recognized event providing a forum to nurture and celebrate the fashion industry in Bahrain and it’s neighbouring countries. Held at the Moda Mall (Bahrain World Trade Centre) over 25 designers, jewellers and brands were showcased from Netherlands, Ukraine, UK, India, Pakistan and of course Bahrain establishing  Bahrain Fashion Week as a pioneer the fashion industry both locally and internationally a first for the region apart  from the UAE.

This year BFW focuses on promoting and establishing the Kingdom of Bahrain as a prestigious fashion capital not only the GCC but also on a global scale. The 3 day event will include several fashion shows showcasing established and aspiring designers and fashion houses.

The event will also have the Fashion and Lifestyle show, which is a mini expo aimed at promoting new and aspiring designers as well as entrepreneurs in the industry.

Additionally, the Emerging Talent section will be on the last day of the event, where fashion students will be given the opportunity to showcase the best of their designs.
