Jakarta Fashion Week 2010

This fashion week is the medium for displaying the talent and creativity in people living in Indonesia. The Jakarta Fashion Week is held annually to make the fashion industry even better. The people functional behind the scenes say that the week is hosted with an aim to turn Jakarta as a fashion hub in the entire world.

The fashion week will commence from 6 November and continue until 12th of the same month. The venue for the fashion week is Pacific place shopping mall situated in South Jakarta.

The Indonesia Jakarta Fashion Week is a collaborate effort made by renowned stakeholders of the fashion industry and media people too. The event is all together extremely huge as Indonesia’s best hundred designers participate in the fashion week.

The collections by these designers are highly influenced by the heritage of Indonesia and you can see its reflection through their creations greatly. The designers for blending future and past with each other are using different kinds of traditional fabrics and you cannot resist their creativity at all.

Every year the Indonesia Jakarta Fashion Week is attended by renowned personalities from different areas. People who attend the fashion week include celebrities, local and foreign media, buyers, socialites and everyone who love fashion. Generally, the participating people are given special passes. In this year, Jakarta Fashion Week will also display collections from established designers such as Oscar Lawalata, Ghea Panggabean, Ary Seputra and a few more.
