That women are in majority on the earth is an incontrovertible fact. They are special human beings who deserve a big celebration. This celebration is held on March 8th across the globe as International Women’s Day.
March 8th – also called as international women’s day – marks women’s effort over the years to attain justice and equality for themselves. International women’s day allows women to commemorate their struggles and celebrate their achievements. International women’s day was emerged as a political celebration to symbolize the fight of women from all over the world for their rights and full equality. Women have fought a long struggle and are still fighting for equality.
Every one of us has at least one woman on earth to be thankful with. She can be mother, wife, sister, daughter, teacher or any other relation. You can celebrate international’s women day by doing a lot of things for your beloved lady. In some countries like Europe, Soviet Union etc; there is an official public holiday and they celebrate this beautiful spring holiday in the family circle with a festive meal.
Women work 24/7 and do not enjoy any free time. You can celebrate this day by accepting them as the most special lady in this world. If we observe internationally, on this day a lot of importance is given to females. International women’s day is considered as a day of pleasant emotions, high spirits and vivid impression for women on international level. People make their women feel like very much special by undertaking all household duties in their hand starting with washing dishes and look after children and ending with a special dinner, so a woman can enjoy a full day rest.
You can celebrate this day by giving special and pleasant presents to your wives, mothers, grandmothers, sisters, daughters and teachers. Some people also show their love and respect by giving them postcards, chocolates and beautiful flowers. You can simply thank your ladies about all their support and work that they have done for you.
International women’s day is a national observance in some countries. Many street march, rallies, organized meetings are hosted in some countries. In these meetings, the main focus is to promote the women’s right and give them equal opportunities like me in all aspects of life. Women are continuously becoming the victim of domestic violence and rape. In some foreign countries, women are paid less than men though they are equally qualified and experienced like men.
Being a vital creature of this universe, the negligence on women will never be tolerated at any cost. Therefore International women’s day is celebrated to empower the women in all spheres of life. This day also reminds the obligations of women towards society and they should use this freedom in a positive way. This positive attitude of women will surely lead them towards better life and development of a nation and a country as well.
