Justin Bieber’s recent hit single “U Smile” not only has his legions of fans smiling but also has homeless dogs wagging their tails and homeless cats purring. That’s because the pop music phenomenon – who has just been nominated in the Best International Newcomer category at this year’s BRIT Awards – recently appeared in a public service announcement for PETA and its affiliates promoting adoptions from animal shelters. The ad was shot by renowned celebrity photographer Cliff Watts.

It’s really important that people adopt“, said Bieber. “I really encourage going out to an animal shelter or a place where you can get a dog who has been abandoned or doesn’t have a home.” Complete Fashion Article…

Birmingham based stylist/designer Maria Rehmali will showcase her debut womenswear and luggage collection on the first day of February 2011’s London Fashion Week as part of LGN Events’ flagship off-schedule catwalk show, A La Mode.

The Rehmali brand is born of Maria’s recognition of an individualistic approach to couture. Having earned her stripes in fashion cred by working as a personal stylist, Maria realised that each client wanted a unique garment which they felt comfortable in. It was this that gave her the determination and spirit to design her own range.

Growing up in Birmingham, Maria has been exposed to a vibrant, colourful cultural environment which is credited with enhancing much of her creative influences. She has also embarked on insightful travel experiences which she feels benefit her collection immensely, claiming she has learnt about the world and how fashion impacts on an individual’s creativity through the colour, scenery, climate and social status of locations she has encountered.

Employing lace, velvet, printed fabrics, chiffon and georgette, Rehmali dresses draw upon inspiration from such renowned designers as Roberto Cavalli, Balmain and Giorgio Armani. Complete Fashion Article…

Katie Price at Ipod launch

Kicking off our foray into tragic style with a bang, Katie Price worked futuristic fashion to launch her new technology range, in a skintight silver spacesuit, thigh-high matching boots, and a white and pink fringed belt to finish the ensemble off. And the piece de resistance? It has to be the spectacular iPod headpiece. Part hat, part hairband, the interesting hair decoration, adorned with five of the tiny technology devices is quite a sight to behold. Ever the perfectionist, Katie went one step further, adding tiny replica iPods to her earlobes. This lady is seriously committed to her cause.

Ke$ha at the MTV Europe Music Awards

We’re guessing that Kesha was trying to fill the eccentric style crown in the absence of a certain Ms Gaga at this year’s MTV Europe Music Awards, but while the Lady always wins points for drama, Ke$ha just looked like a primary school art project gone wrong. There should be rules about wearing this much flouro.

Marion Cotillard at the Marrakech International Film Festival

Oh, now this makes us sad – bad style is all the more tragic when it happens to good people. Marion Cotillard may be a bonafide global fashion icon, but she seriously let the side down when she subjected us to this little number. Ill-fitting and with a poodle perm to boot, Ms Cotillard left us seriously doubting those once lauded sartorial credentials. How the mighty have fallen. Complete Fashion Article…
