Alexander McQueen will not hold an autumn/winter 2013-14 catwalk show this coming season. Creative director Sarah Burton, who is currently heavily pregnant with twins, will be on maternity leave during Paris Fashion Week – and will remain in her hometown of London.
The brand will instead hold a small private presentation for around 100 editors on March 5, reports WWD. Buyer appointments will be scheduled for later that evening. A spokesperson for the label confirmed that Burton plans to reclaim McQueen’s regular Paris Fashion Week show slot for spring/summer 2014.
