Donald Trump’s Latest Statement Regarding the COVID-19 Vaccine

Former United States (US) President, Donald Trump, credited himself for the development of several coronavirus vaccines across the US, and wants everyone to start calling the COVID-19 vaccine by a different name.

According to the reports, Trump claimed the COVID-19 vaccine should be called the “Trumpcine,” according to reporters from CNN and The Washington Post.

Trump made this request to hundreds of donors during a rambling 50-minute speech in front of the Republican Party’s biggest sponsors at his Mar-a-Lago resort on Saturday night.

In early March, Trump released a statement falsely asserting that he was primarily responsible for the shot’s rapid development.

“I hope everyone remembers when they’re getting the COVID-19 (often referred to as the China Virus) Vaccine, that if I wasn’t President, you wouldn’t be getting that beautiful ‘shot’ for 5 years, at best, and probably wouldn’t be getting it at all,” the statement said.

It’s the latest sign that the former president is growing increasingly frustrated that he isn’t receiving credit for the development or rollout of the coronavirus shot.

Trump reportedly ripped into the former Senate leader Mitch McConnell, whom he called a “dumb son of a b***h,” and dismissed President Joe Biden’s 2020 election victory as “bulls**t.” He even expressed his “disappointment” for former vice president Mike Pence,” stating he lacked the “courage” to defend his claims of a stolen election and block Electoral College votes.
