Prince Harry latest news: Duke ‘gets in touch with Charles and William as Queen to broker peace’

Prince Harry may have had disputes with the British royal family, but the death of Prince Philip has united the family in grief.

As per a report by The Mirror, the Duke of Sussex has been in touch with his cousins, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie and has also been in touch with his father, Prince Charles.

Reportedly, Prince Harry has also contacted Prince William, his brother, in a bid to “park” disputes ahead of the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral.

A source told the Mirror: “Despite everything that has gone on and the wounds are still pretty raw, everyone is hoping any disputes will be parked for another day. This is about giving the Duke the sendoff he deserves surrounded by his family.”

Biographer Tom Bower claimed the monarch’s “prime focus” will be “saying farewell” to her beloved husband on Saturday. But after that she will try to “broker peace” with Harry, who laid bare rifts with Prince Charles and Prince William during his and Meghan Markle’s Oprah Winfrey interview last month.

Bower added: “If, in the sight of Philip’s coffin and his grieving grandmother, he is contrite, he might begin to rebuild a relationship with Charles and William.”

“Undoubtedly mortified by Harry’s disloyalty, her prime focus will be saying farewell to her husband. Thereafter, if Harry decides to stay in Britain for a few days, she will undoubtedly use the opportunity to broker peace.”

Harry is staying at his former residence, Frogmore Cottage, ahead of the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral.
