In August 2019, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson shocked everyone when he announced via a romantic Instagram post that he was officially a married man, as he said “I Do,” to his girlfriend for more than a decade, Lauren Hashian. Their wedding was an extremely private affair with just close family members and friends as the ceremony took place in Kauai, Hawaii. This is The Rock’s second wedding after he was earlier married to Dany Garcia from May 1997 to June 2007.
During an interview with WSJ magazine, Dwayne got candid about how he questioned himself while thinking about the prospect of remarrying. “My divorce did a number on me. I wasn’t fearful of getting married again, there was just some hesitancy,” Johnson shared with WSJ while adding that within 30 seconds of meeting Lauren, he thought she was absolutely stunning. Furthermore, the 47-year-old actor confessed that he was going through his breakup with Garcia while Hashian was just coming off a big breakup as well. However, in a case of complete irony, the Jumanji: The Next Level star shared that when one is not looking for something, the power of the universe takes over as it did with him and Lauren.
“… Lauren was incredibly patient: ‘I love you, you love me, we have this amazing life together — no presh,” Dwayne added.
Meanwhile, The Rock reunites with good friend Kevin Hart as they star together in Jumanji: The Next Level. Directed by Jake Kasdan, Jumanji: The Next Level is slated to release in India on December 13, 2019.
