Ellen DeGeneres denies marriage troubles after moving in with Courteney Cox

Ellen DeGeneres has addressed rumors about her marriage after she moved in with Friends star Courteney Cox.

The 63-year-old talk show host spoke about the reasons why she has moved in with Courteney, 56, and has said that it has nothing to do with problems in her marriage to Portia de Rossi.

Ellen has recently sold her Beverly Hills home and she has indicated that living with Courteney is an act of convenience.

Speaking on Thursday’s episode of her show, Ellen, the comedian dispelled the rumours, saying: “I’m not having marital troubles.”

She added: “I’m not living with Courteney Cox because I’m kicked out of my house.”

Courteney has said that she was more than happy with Ellen moving in, even if it meant her having to address issues she had in her property.

The actress said: “You’re my style guru, so I was nervous about you staying there, being that I haven’t redone it. I haven’t been there in a year.

“I had it cleaned. I moved everything off of the right side of the bathroom, so you’d have your space in the drawers. I was just really ready for you.”

Courteney also revealed that she had sent her assistant over to the house to ensure everything was in good order, only to find that Ellen had already made herself at home.

Ellen recently revealed details of the moment her wife Portia collapsed on the bedroom floor with appendicitis.

Speaking on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in March, the comedian tried to make light of the situation as joked about Portia, 48, wanting to “go to bed” early, when she was doubled up in pain.

Ellen said that Portia told her around 7.30pm: “I’m not feeling well. I want to go to bed.”

The talk show host joked: “And it was like eight o’clock and that’s early. I’m not used to going to bed that early. We go to bed around 8.30.”

Ellen said that she took some medicine to help her sleep at the same time as her wife but was abruptly woken to find Portia on the floor in pain.

She recalled: “I look over and Portia is not in bed next to me.

“I get out of bed and I find Portia on the floor on all fours. And I’m like, ‘Baby are you okay?’ And she says, ‘Yeah, I’m okay.’ And I said, ‘Well you’re okay if you’re playing Twister by yourself, but you’re not okay. You’re on the floor.'”
