Selena Gomez and Coach go way back – campaigns, custom creations and accessory collaborations – but their latest joint project sees the singer designing clothing for the American house.
This is the first time that 26-year-old Selena has explored designing ready-to-wear with Coach creative director Stuart Vevers, and the results are just as we expected. It takes the best parts of Selena's personal style and merges it with the design details we've come to love Coach for. Think aviator-style leather jackets, elegant shift dresses, lingerie detailing and louche knitwear for an insouciant touch of laid-back luxe. It's an accurate homage of Selena’s playful sense of style, "which contrasts pretty with sporty and elegance with cool."
The pieces that Selena has designed are all finished with her personal touches: from a motto written in her handwriting - "Not perfect, always me" - to a playful bunny motif described as speaking "to her imagination." The collection also introduces two new bag styles for Coach: the Bond and the Trail. Both are a collaboration between Selena and Stuart and aim to "bring a fresh lens to Coach’s legacy of leathercraft."
