An obsessed Madonna fan has filed a lawsuit against the police officers who arrested him outside the singer’s home in 2010. Robert Linhart, a retired New York firefighter, was taken into custody after he refused to move on from his camp site outside Madonna’s home, where he attempted to get the Material Girl’s attention by waving a sign that read: “M, the Universe brought us together in 1992 and again this year in Prague. Meet me please XXX”. Linhart, who was convicted of resisting arrest, has filed suit against the city and several NYPD cops, accusing them of kicking and beating him. He wants $5 million (GBP4.1 million) to make the case go away.
