They set the rumour mills buzzing and sparked speculation when they were spotted hanging out with friends in Los Angeles. If this wasn’t enough, a picture of Niall resting his arm on Selena’s shoulder went viral and fans couldn’t help but link the two singers together.
Now, Niall discussed these rumours with Australia’s Hit 90.9’s Brekkie Crew podcast, and set the record straight on those Selena Gomez dating rumors. Niall said, “Do I have a girlfriend? I don’t, no. I’m very much single. Very much single.” If this picture wasn’t enough to spark rumours, Selena also gave a shout-out to Niall for one of his songs on her Instagram Story.
A source had earlier confirmed with E!News that the two were just buddies. “Selena and Niall are not dating and have been hanging out as friends. They have always been good friends and have kept in touch throughout the years.” Turns out, this is not the first time Selena and Niall have sparked rumours. As per the report, they were spotted making out at Jenna Dewan’s 35th birthday party.
Earlier speaking about their dinner outing with friends, Niall had told Sirius XM, “We’re friends. We have the same group of friends. we hang out all the time.
