Selena Gomez will return to host the WE Day telecast on CBS again this year and is bringing some friends along with her, notably her childhood buddy Demi Lovato.

“If you wanna roll up your sleeves and make a difference, you’ve come to the right place,” says host Gomez. In two new teaser videos released Monday (July 17), WE is sharing a sneak peek at what fans can expect from the third annual event addressing social issues across the world when it airs Aug. 4 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.  “I am so happy to be hosting WE Day again,” says Gomez in the new clip. “This show’s about inspiration and positive ideas for change. So, if you wanna roll up your sleeves and make a difference, you’ve come to the right place.”

The one-hour WE Day special will performances, speeches, celebrity appearances and in-depth looks at issues such as equality, poverty, homelessness, inner city violence, social activism, education and more. Along with Gomez and Lovato, special guests include Alessia Cara with STOMP, Alicia Keys, DJ Khaled, Tyrese Gibson, The Muppets and more.  “We all know what it feels like to be underestimated. We know what it feels like to be judged. But what I want everyone to feel today is powerful. When we take care of each other, we build each other up. Because together we have the power,” says Lovato, who later duets with The Muppets’ Animal on the drums.
