This famous luxury home belongs to the fifth richest man in the world; Mukesh Ambani. With his wife, Nita Ambani and three children, Mukesh dreamed about a unique luxury home, built in a way which would set it apart from all the other luxurious homes in the world.

The wish of Nita Ambani

With un-tiring efforts by architects, designers and builders which lasted for 4 years, Antilla was born, and it is today known as the World’s first Billion Dollar home. The expense for this Luxury Home totaled as $2 Billion. The architects for this Luxury Home were chosen by Nita Ambani, who was so impressed during her tour in 2005 by the work done by Perkins and Will and Hirsch Bedner Associates for Mandarin Oriental that she decided to have them hired for her Luxury home. Nita says that Mandarin Oriental is her favorite building in the world, which is the major reason why she decided to hire its architects for the design of her Luxury Home.

Features of Antilla Luxury Home

Antilla has 27 stories, and an interior space of 400,000 square foot. This un-believably huge Luxury Home has many amazing features. Antilla, the most expensive home in the world, has a parking lot which big enough to hole 168 cars in total. This parking lot was built by keeping in mind that Mukesh Ambani plans to hold this many cars in the future. The parking place consists of six floors. There is also a floor for the maintenance of these cars which means that the owner of the most expensive home in the world doesn’t need to send his precious cars to service shops for maintenance.

The most expensive home in the world also has a movie theatre which has the capacity of 50 people. A whole floor of this Luxury home is dedicated for this purpose. Two floors are dedicated to a health centre whereas 3 of them for hanging gardens. With various swimming pools, Luxurious bathrooms, yoga studio, a freezing cold room which is called the ice-cream room, an air traffic control facility with a personal helipad and nearly nine elevators, this Luxury Home is a small world in itself.

What is even more amazing about the most expensive home in the world is that among these 27 stories, not a single design is repeated. It was once again, Nita Mukesh’s wish to have every floor of her luxury home as unique and different from the others, as possible.

The interior of this Luxury home is un-describable. Since, the Mukesh family wanted to keep the Indian culture alive in their Luxury home, so most of the materials and labor were from India.

Antilla has yet been un-challenged, because there is really no match for it yet, throughout the world.
