Chanel and Charles Finch Host a Pre-Oscar Dinner

Charles Finch and Chanel hosted their seventh annual pre-Oscar dinner on Saturday. The party at Madeo in Beverly Hills is a favorite event of those making the rounds on the Academy Award season party circuit, simply because it is an evening for the sake of having fun. The night started with cocktails as guests were greeted upon entering the restaurant by a mariachi band playing, at full-volume, cinematic songs like “Canta y no llores.”

During a weekend awash in celebrations and receptions, the dinner drew a crowd that included a well-dressed group, many wearing Chanel. Familiar faces in the cozy, candlelit Italian restaurant were Keira Knightley, Kristen Stewart who was clad in black-and-white 2015 spring-summer Chanel Haute Couture, along with Academy Award nominated Julianne Moore, singer Lily Allen, Zoë Kravitz, Julie Delpy, Jessica Chastain, January Jones, Dree Hemingway, Suki Waterhouse, and Dylan Penn, who arrived with her brother, Hopper. Others enjoying the evening, harking back to another era of Hollywood, included Angelica Huston, who also came with her brother actor Danny Huston by her side, as well as Harvey Keitel, Matthew Modine, and Mick Jagger, who slipped in through the back door.

In many ways the night lived up to its reputation as the place to be, with its mix of actors, actresses, writers, directors a group of friends, really, enjoying an evening of great food and company before the next night’s main event.
