In 2007, she signed with Elite Model Management before controversially moving to NEXT Model Management in January 2008. She has been in advertisements for Nina Ricci, Chloé, Lacoste, Sportmax, Alexander McQueen, Dolce & Gabbana, Gap, Pringle of Scotland, Dior, Hermes, Oscar de la Renta, Sonia Rykiel, Aquascutum, Topshop, Eryn Brinie, Omnia Jade, Lord & Taylor, and American Eagle. Karlie Kloss is the face of the Marc Jacobs fragrance Lola. She has walked for numerous designers in New York, London, Milan and Paris, including Calvin Klein, Karl Lagerfeld, Marc Jacobs, Zac Posen, Givenchy, Gucci, Valentino and Versace, and appeared in editorials for W Magazine, American Elle, and the American, Italian, French, British, Korean, German, Chinese, Portuguese, Teen, and Latin American Vogue magazines. Her covers include Italian Vogue October 2009 and January 2010, Vogue Portugal, Vogue Korea and American Teen Vogue, alongside Chanel Iman and Ali Michael. At the Jill Stuart Fall 2008 show, model-turned-TV host Tyra Banks was seen mockingly imitating Kloss' swaying motion and "stoned death stare." Kloss is ranked 6th on the Top 50 Models Women List by models.com. Vogue Paris declared her one of the top 30 models of the 2000s.
