Chanel Ready-to-wear Fall/Winter 2011 collection showcased at Paris Fashion Week.

Karl Lagerfeld, with his ready-to-wear fall collection 2011 at Paris Fashion Week took Chanel in a new direction, to the dark side. The collection was infused with men’s wear aura, with a tough, masculine, mostly monochromatic statement.

Amidst the ambiance of some surrealistic grey garden of rocks emerged a fall ready-to-wear collection 2011 based on men’s wear, the collection was literally all black, grey and white, in various tweed configurations, often with jolts of pizzazz supplied by glittering silver metallics. The jackets looked new and savvy and the trousers were either cuffed above or bunched at the ankle.

Moreover, masculine jumpsuits in thick tweeds, leather and other fabrics with a tough addition of bold leather thigh pockets made a bold statement and shattered the notion of delicacy at Paris Fashion Week Ready-to-wear 2011-2012.
