Autumn/Winter London DAKS Collection

DAKS collection was heavy on texture and knitwear and came in a palette of dark jewel tones of gold and beige, the collection inspired by the rock’n’roll dandies of Sixties Britain women.

DAKS, the fashion label stated in 1934, Alec Simpson expanded his men’s tailoring business to include ready-to-wear (prêt), and the brand name ‘DAKS’ was born, named for a combination of “dad” and “slacks.” DAKS became the largest manufacturer of top-quality menswear (and to a lesser degree, a manufacturer of womenswear) in Britain, favored in society as a luxury heritage brand, complete with its own house check.

DAKS Golf sportswear line and the E1 menswear second line were the prominent fashion lines. London Fashion show brings DAKS menswear and womenswear collections on the ramp. Revealing cuts, alluring styles, quality fabric and unique silhouettes has made designer collection dresses exceptional and awe-inspiring. Long and short coats, skinny’s, leather long coats, wool jackets, blouses and tops were the main fashion items in DAKS collection.

Models wore long, double-breasted knitted coats, or cardigans with shawl collars or thick ribbing, chunky scarves, and flat caps. Tailored clothing came in the form of burgundy leather coats or cropped check, camel or tweed trousers or tights paired with shearling coats. Scuffi worked leather into the collection in the form of a ruby drummer girl’s jacket with black buttons and a leather belted coat.
