The
International Furnishing Accessories Exhibition 2011 returns to Milan Fairgrounds from 12th April to 17th April, 2011 together with
Salone Internazionale del Mobile to showcase a wide and varied range of proposals both in terms of typology and in terms of style bringing forth a series of lifestyle exhibitions and a whole new world of accessories, objects, ornaments and home textiles under the umbrella of
i-Salone, a trademark of quality and timelessness.
Since its inception, fifty years back, the visitors numbers have gone up from 12,100 in 1961 to 297,460 in 2010, and 328 exhibitors over 11,000 square meters area have become over 2,500 in an area now measuring 200,000 square meters with 5,110 journalists from 65 different countries and a public of over 32,000 people in 2010 and growing more in 2011.
However, this time in 2011, the event is going to be much bigger and exclusive as it is a joined up project of
Salone Internazionale del Mobile and
The International Furnishing Accessories Exhibition. Besides, it is also involving the fashion city of
Milan, providing an opportunity for reflection on design, on the world of industry that has made it all possible, on creativity and on culture.
The extravagant lifestyle event will provide its visitors an incredible chance to experience and touch the best of the world of domestic furnishing from beds to wardrobes to chairs to interior and exterior lighting systems to office furniture in classical and modern futuristic designs.
The International Furnishing Accessories Exhibition 2011 will bring forth a series of exhibitions such as Euroluce 2011, which will unleash a new world of light before visitors. Euroluce 2011 is offering quality goods on offer such as street lighting, technical illumination, light sources, control systems and last generation devices. Other exhibitions include SaloneUfficio, International Biennial Workspace Exhibition and Principia – Forward Arts, an exhibition devoted to an imagined future.
To mark the fiftieth anniversary of the Salone del Mobile, the Triennale Design Museum will dedicate its fourth edition to the people and companies that have helped to create the Italian design system ‘Dream Factories’.
