Using Designerz Central's RSS Feeds

We encourage the use of our feeds as part of a website. However, proper attribution should be used when using feeds by Designerz Central. You must create a functional link back to DesignerzCentral.com site and may not produce/add/edit summaries of the content taken from Designerz Central. 

What is an RSS Feed

An RSS feed lets you read the latest content from a website. Many websites and blogs now offer RSS feeds - and so does Designerz Central! You can use our RSS feed to see the latest fashion top stories, fashion events and fashion shows. Events listings include Launches, Exhibitions, Celebrations, Parties, Festivals, Performances, Arts & Culture and their related details. We have 10 different feeds for diferent content. 

To read an RSS feed, you need an RSS reader or aggregator. Yahoo! supports RSS feeds on your My Yahoo! page or you can use one of the many RSS readers to collect your RSS feeds. There are online readers and ones that run on your desktop. We have a list of some readers at the bottom of this page.

How do I start using feeds?

In general, the first thing you need is something called a news reader. This is a piece of software that checks the feeds and lets you read any new articles that have been added. There are many different versions, some of which are accessed using a browser, and some of which are downloadable applications.

Browser-based news readers let you catch up with your RSS feed subscriptions from any computer, whereas downloadable applications let you store them on your main computer, in the same way that you either download your e-mail using Outlook, or keep it on a web-based service like Hotmail.

Once you have chosen a news reader, all you have to do is to decide what content you want it to receive. For example, if you would like the latest Designerz Central Top Stories, simply visit the RSS Feeds Page and you will see the lisitng of available rss feeds.

How do I get a rss reader?

There is a range of different news readers available and new versions are appearing all the time.

Different news readers work on different operating systems, so you will need to choose one that will work with your computer.

Using Designerz Central's feeds on your site

If you run your own website, you can display the latest fashion top stories from other websites on your own site using RSS.

We encourage the use of Designerz Central feeds as part of a website, however, we do require that the proper format and attribution is used when Designerz Central content appears. The attribution text should read "DesignerzCentral.com" or "designerzcentral.com/rss/" as appropriate.
