Britney Spears Hot
Britney Spears

We all know the worst part of our week was when we found out Britney Spears broke up with David, but the highlight of my week was when I realized we’re getting a new album out of it! .That’s right the hit maker hit the studio after the break up and we can’t wait for the next album. We just might start looking up to break ups in the music industry if it leads to good albums.

Meanwhile Lana Del Rey and Sam Smith battle it out to sing for the next James Bond film. It’ll be no surprise if Lana nabs the gig, after her success with Young and Beautiful and Once Upon a Dream.

The film makers know it has to be a great song with killer vocals to surpass the success of Adele’s Skyfall.

Besides, we were one of the few sites to predict that Lana would be chosen as a nominee to sing the next Bond song. Well MTV’s hottest came to a close with no big surprises at the top with grand prize going to none other than One direction, Beiber trailed in second while Lana Del Rey beat Lady Gaga to win the bronze medal. She was the highest voted for woman in the competition.

Speaking of MTV, Beyonce’s performance with Jay-Z and Blue Ivy proved the rumors wrong.  THEY WILL NEVER BREAK UP. Her performance at VMA’s also helped increase Beyonce’s album sales by double taking it to number 11 on the billboard 200.

While Taylor Swift, had the fourth highest sales week for a single with her hit Shake it Off. The juggernaut of a hit debuted at number one not only on iTunes but also on the Billboard Hot 100.  Again Taylor’s adorable but sometimes hilarious performance at VMA helped it stay in the number one spot for the second week running.
