Suri Cruise and Tom Cruise have not seen each other in 10 years. According to New Idea, Suri Cruise is now at an age where she has become more curious about her dad. So, she has allegedly been begging her mom, Katie Holmes to give her permission to see Tom Cruise.
“Suri is naturally really curious about her father and is begging Katie Holmes to allow her to meet with him. Saying yes goes against Katie’s every instinct, but the reality is, Suri is old enough to make her own decisions,” the source said.
The insider also claimed that the last thing that Holmes wants is to have to fight for custody of her daughter just because she prevented her from seeing the actor.
“Obviously, Katie would never want it to get to the point where Suri has to go in front of a judge to get what she wants. She just has concerns, as any mother would,” the source said.
The source claimed that one of the things that Holmes wants to avoid is her ex-husband taking their daughter to the Church of Scientology.
“It’s not out of the question for Tom to want to have his daughter travel down to his own apartment. But Katie should be concerned if Suri ends up in Clearwater. They could promise her the world and have her back in the church before you know it,” the source said.
However, another source said that Holmes must know how smart her daughter is. This means that the Mission: Impossible actor cannot just lure her into joining Scientology or even visiting the church while knowing that her mom would be upset.
“Katie’s concerns are valid, but Suri is a New Yorker through and through, and not even her dad will get in the way of that,” the source concluded.
However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. There’s no proof that Suri Cruise has any interest in seeing her dad. And if she is, it’s unlikely for Holmes to get in the way of that.
