Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Russia 2013From March 21 till 25, 2012, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia will present Fall/Winter 2012-2013 collections in Congress Hall of World Trade Center.

This is the 24th season of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia, which is the most prominent fashion event on ex-Soviet Union territory. Located in a premium World Trade Center the fashion week welcomes fashion experts from Russia and Europe twice per year, in March and October.

Russia is one of the top emerging markets in the world with a revenue of currently 70 billion US$ annually for textiles and apparel. Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Russia continues to be a unique platform for local and international designers to reach the Russian market effectively. Lineup of this Fall/Winter season features over 50 designers from Russia, Ukraine, Byelorussia, Poland, Turkey, Great Britain and Peru. Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia will showcase the latest collections of the Russian fashion elite including Tatiana Parfionova, David & Alexander, Viva Vox, HakaMa, Von Vonni, Biryukov, Tegin, Bessarion, Dasha Gauzer, Julia Nikolaeva, Chistova&Endourova, Masha Sharoeva, Sultana Frantsuzova, Yanina Vekhteva, Maria Golubeva, Olga Shikhova, Basharatian V and many others.

This season Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia celebrates 50 years of Slava Zaitsev Fashion House, the most famous Russian couturier. Nicknamed as Red Dior in the 70s and 80s, Slava Zaitsev still keeps a top position in Russian fashion. He runs the Moscow’s most prestigious professional fashion competition and Fashion Laboratory, which was alma mater for hundreds of Russian fashion designers. Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia will present three generations of the Zaitsev fashion family this season. Slava Zaitsev opens the Fall/Winter 2012/13 season on March 21, his granddaughter Marusya Zaitseva debuts on March 24 and his son Egor Zaitsev launches his collection on March 25, 2012.

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia Russia (former Russian Fashion Week) is the biggest fashion week in Eastern Europe which commences in Moscow twice per year since 2000. Over 35.000 fashion experts, clients and celebrities attend Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia in Moscow bi-annually. Over 1000 journalists are accredited every season. This event showcases the best local fashion talent along with established international brands. In 2011 the fashion week launched internet broadcasting of all show on www.mercedesbenzfashionweek.ru.

Last season 600.000 internet views were estimated during 5 days of shows, which increased the direct audience of the fashion week dramatically. Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia is truly a gateway to the Russian market for international designers and experts. Last season the event featured shows of Costume National and Frankie Morello among others. Moscow’s only fashion week has long term relations with Camera Nazionale Della Moda Italiana, British Council, Asian Fashion Association and other institutions around the world.
