Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik recently called it quits following a shock altercation between the One Direction member and Yolanda Hadid.
According to Life & Style, Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik are not focused on their daughter, Khai although separately.

The exes both want full custody of their daughter, and they are both willing to bring the case to court if it’s what’s necessary.
“Zayn was hoping he and Gigi could come to some form of agreement without a legal battle, but if push comes to shove, he is prepared to take her to court. He loves Khai with all his heart and will hire the best lawyers money can buy to ensure that he remains in his little girl’s life,” the source said.

The source also claimed that Gigi wants to make sure that she will be Khai’s legal guardian because when she was with Malik, they used to get into crazy fights. “Although he was never aggressive with Khai, Gigi refuses to take any risks and plans to demand sole custody of their daughter,” the source said.
However, it’s unlikely for Malik to agree to this because he also wants custody of Khai. Weeks ago, the exes shocked the entire world amid reports that Malik assaulted Yolanda while the latter was at his home.

He pleaded no contest to the four charges that were filed against him. But he later told TMZ, that there was no truth to the claims.
“I adamantly deny striking Yolanda Hadid and for the sake of my daughter I decline to give any further details and I hope that Yolanda will reconsider her false allegations and move towards healing these family issues in private,” Malik said.

As of late, Khai is under her mom’s care. Malik has also been banned from talking to any member of the Hadid family. It’s unclear what the exes’ arrangements are, but there is still no confirmation regarding a possible custody battle.
As such, there’s still hope that Gigi Hadid and Malik will be able to sort out their differences for the sake of Khai.
