Harry Heartbreak: Meghan’s Husband Doesn’t Feel Christmas In Santa Barbara? Wants To Celebrate With Archie Lilibet In UK

Prince Harry’s second Christmas in the United States will take place in the house that he shares with Meghan Markle. The couple will most likely enjoy a homecooked meal because the Duchess of Sussex recently revealed that she enjoys cooking for her family. This Christmas is also extra special because it will be Lilibet’s first.

It’s unlikely for Prince Harry and Markle to celebrate Christmas apart. But one publication is saying that this could be the case because the Duke of Sussex misses the royal family. New Idea, in its Dec. 20 issue, claimed that Prince Harry doesn’t feel Christmas in Santa Barbara because it’s very different from the festivities in the United Kingdom.

“To Harry, it barely feels like it’s Christmas in Santa Barbara. He’s found himself pining for the UK, which has been hard for him to admit given the song and dance he’s made over the past two years about starting a new life in America,” the unnamed source said.

Another reason why Prince Harry wants to celebrate Christmas has to do with Queen Elizabeth’s health. The Duke of Sussex allegedly knows that his grandmother won’t have many more Christmases to celebrate, but this isn’t something that he and the other royals verbalize.

Prince Harry doesn’t want to have a huge regret if he won’t celebrate Christmas with the queen and then sadly, she would pass away. “Harry might have fallen out with most of the family, but he is still very close with his granny and wants to put all the drama aside to be there for her. He could end up regretting it for the rest of his life if he doesn’t,” the unnamed source claimed.

And since Christmas is, reportedly, the queen’s most favorite time of the year, Prince Harry wants to take part in the royal family’s celebration. “It’s the queen’s favorite time of year, given she has her whole family under one roof.

It used to provide her and Prince Philip a chance to reflect on the dynasty they’ve created together, but after he passed earlier this year, everyone knows it’s going to be very different for her. Harry hopes that if he makes it back, it might help her enjoy herself,” the unnamed source explained.

Prince Harry is also, allegedly, excited to bring Archie and Lilibet with him to the United Kingdom because it will be his kids’ first Christmas there. It would also be Lilibet’s first time to meet the royal family, and the doting dad is confident that everyone would adore her.

“It’s barely cold enough for hot chocolate by the fire in Santa Barbara, and Harry thinks Archie, particularly, given he’s old enough to understand some of what’s happening, will absolutely love it. If he goes home, he’ll want to bring the kids – with or without Meghan,” the unnamed source concluded.

However, it’s unlikely for Prince Harry to be OK with his wife celebrating Christmas all by herself at home. Since the couple got engaged, Prince Harry and Markle have been inseparable.

The couple also showed a united front when they decided to quit The Firm. And they continue to stand by each other’s side through all the controversies that they are facing. So, it wouldn’t make sense for Prince Harry to suddenly up and leave with his two kids sans Markle.

Page Six also confirmed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex won’t celebrate Christmas in the United Kingdom. And while it’s true that there are fears that this could be the queen’s last Christmas, it’s important to note that Prince Harry has a family of his own.

When he and his wife quit The Firm, they knew what the repercussions of their decisions were. On top of losing their HRH titles and their royal duties, quitting The Firm and relocating to the United States meant they would be away from the royal family.
