Meghan Markle, Prince Harry ‘continually invade their privacy’: Report

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry both said they wanted to live a private life. However, many questioned their public sightings with some saying they invade their privacy.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry decided to step back from their royal duties to live private lives. The couple has been reiterating their need for privacy. So, many are questioning why they are still visible in public events.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry quit their royal duties for privacy. However, they have signed on various projects like Spotify podcasts and Netflix documentaries. They also appeared in several major interviews. Thus, they were accused of making their “alternative” royal life and milking from their fame, The Sun reported.

Royal commentator Charles Rae shared his thoughts about the couple. For him, Markle and Prince Harry were the ones invading their privacy.

“They are no longer active members of the royal family and do not represent the royal family on anything,” Rae said. “They made it clear they wanted to have private lives but continually invade their own privacy.”

Several journalists and royal commentators share the same observation as Rae. GB News presenter Mercy Muroki also weighed in on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

For her, she is not interested in whatever the Sussexes have to say. However, she felt that they are “inescapable” because they are everywhere. They are on TV, Netflix and podcasts. And if one goes offline and reads books, they are also there.

Markle published a children’s book The Bench. Prince Harry also announced that he is working on his own memoir.

“Meghan and Harry say they want some privacy in space, but I’m starting to feel like it’s us who need a bit of privacy and space from them,” Muroki said. 

Although many complained about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s exposure after asking for privacy, some also defended them. Oprah Winfrey who interviewed them for a CBS special said they wanted privacy from unwanted media attention.

Winfrey told Entertainment Tonight that she also asked for privacy. And like Prince Harry and Markle she is talking all the time. For her, what the people missed is that “privacy doesn’t mean silence.”

Prince Harry and Meghan were last seen in New York City for Global Citizen Live. They made several outings in the Big Apple which raised some eyebrows.

Sky News Australia host Andrew Bolt accused them of orchestrating their NYC trip similar to a royal tour. He also added that it was self-service and hypocritical, shameless and fake.
