Prince William and Kate Middleton confirm plans to visit Ireland next month

There was much excitement when the news broke in January that Prince William and Kate Middleton would be coming to Ireland in the near future.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have now released the dates of their royal visit to the Emerald Isle and we can’t wait for their arrival.

So, when will Prince William and Kate Middleton be visiting us here in Ireland?

A statement released on their Kengsinton Royal Instagram account reads: ‘The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will undertake an official visit to Ireland between Tuesday 3rd March and Thursday 5th March.’

‘The visit is at the request of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. Further details will be advised in due course. #RoyalVisitIreland.’

It is believed Kate Middleton and Prince William will visit Dublin and Cork on the upcoming trip but more details of their itinerary will undoubtedly be unveiled very soon.

The announcement comes on a busy day for the royal couple who spent the afternoon at Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre in Loughborough.

Where they met both serving members of the Armed Forces who are getting treatment for complex musculoskeletal disorders and injuries.

When Queen Elizabeth II visited in 2011 she became the first British monarch to travel to the Republic of Ireland in a century.

Since then, Charles and Camilla have visited five times and who could forget Prince Harry and Meghan Markle spending time on our shores too.
