Meghan Markle pregnant? Duchess to cancel baby plans in bid to ‘recharge’ after tough year

MEGHAN MARKLE and Prince Harry are reported to be considering postponing baby number two, after a year that contained a heavy work load for the royal couple.

MEGHAN MARKLE and Prince Harry are reported to be considering postponing baby number two, after a year that contained a heavy work load for the royal couple. In an interview with OK! magazine, Omid Scobie, BAZAAR.com’s royal editor at large, said that the while the Sussex’s have engagements, having another baby is simply not a ‘priority’ for the couple.

Instead a new addition to the royal household in the near future will be nothing but a “wonderful surprise”. In a recent ITV documentary, Meghan admitted to feeling vulnerable at times being in the public eye.

Mr Scobie further alluded to this ongoing personal struggle for Meghan by suggesting that delaying a royal baby is to “safeguard her mental health”. For at least the time being it seems though the Sussexes are on different paths to William and Kate who are rumoured to be expecting baby number four this year.

The shock announcement of Meghan and Harry delaying their baby plans, comes after the couple enjoyed a luxury Canadian holiday over Christmas, by renting a $14.1 million mansion just for the two of them.

The often low key Sussexes rented a private residence on an exclusive Vancouver Island to ring in the new decade.

Mr Scobie told the publication “[Canada] is a safe place for the couple- they were able to go unnoticed there for a while.”

The royal couple enjoyed their break from work duties for six weeks, as they explored Vancouver island’s Horth Hill.

At one point Meghan and Harry even shocked a couple with their savvy photography skills, by helping to take a photo of them whilst out on a hike.

Asymina Kantorowicz and Iliya Pavlovic couldn’t believe their luck when the Sussexes rushed to their aid, to snap the ultimate holiday photo of them.

Prior to Meghan and Prince Harry helping the couple, they were struggling to use their selfie stick to grab a photo of themselves.

“I froze up. i couldn’t actually believe who it was. Then I looked over to the side and that’s when I realised Prince Harry was standing there. “ admitted a starstruck Asymina.

Speaking of her chance encounter with Meghan, Asymina recalled “The only thing I could think to say to her was that there’s only so much that selfie sticks can do. She laughed and said something like ‘we’ll have to take a good photo then’.”

It was music mogul David Foster who organised the grand Canadian accommodation for the royal couple, after revealing that is new wife singer/actress Katherine McPhee was childhood pals with Meghan.

“i felt honoured that i was able to help Meghan there, because i’m a Canadian and we’re a commonwealth country” Foster told the Daily Mail.

“It’s important to us, so I grew up with that kind of sentiment. I was really happy to be able to help them to find a respite just to take a little time off”.

Some Twitter users were quick to criticise Meghan for their prolonged vacation.

One user said: “Amazing how a woman who fulfils no duties & says she wants privacy has been consistently in the press for the last 8 weeks, when no-one has seen her.”

While another added: “She rebels against tradition, snubs the royal family at Christmas, insults the Queen, causes a feud between W&H constantly jealous of Kate and spreads rumours.”
