The messages were referenced during the latest proceedings in Prince Harry’s privacy lawsuit against the publishers of The Daily Mail and The Mail. The Duke of Sussex has filed legal action accusing the publications of unlawful information gathering and invasion of privacy.
During the hearing, messages from 2011 and 2012 between Prince Harry and journalist Charlotte Griffiths were presented as part of the case.
According to reports, the conversations included playful exchanges between the two. In one of the messages, King Charles’ younger son reportedly wrote that he “missed our movie snuggles” and joked about “drinking u under the table.”
Griffiths also reportedly used nicknames for the royal, referring to him as “Mr Mischief” and “H-Bomb.”
The resurfacing of the messages quickly became a talking point online, particularly because of their informal and lighthearted tone.
Amid the renewed attention, a source claimed that Meghan Markle is unhappy about the situation. An insider speaking to Radar alleged that the Duchess of Sussex is frustrated that the messages, which are more than a decade old, have once again become a topic of public discussion.

“This has led to Harry picking up the nickname ‘Flirty Harry’ because of the tone of those messages, and Meghan Markle is fuming that all of this is now doing the rounds,” the source shared.
The insider further suggested that the Duchess finds the situation uncomfortable, especially given the couple’s ongoing efforts to shape their public narrative since stepping back from royal duties.
According to the report, Meghan views the resurfacing of the messages as both “embarrassing” and “frustrating.”
“The fact that the messages come across as so playful and familiar has left Meghan particularly unhappy that this side of Harry is being highlighted in such a public way,” the report stated.
Prince Harry’s legal battle with the publishers is part of a wider campaign by the Duke against several British media organizations, which he has accused of using illegal methods to obtain private information about him and other public figures.
While the case continues to unfold in court, the resurfaced messages have once again drawn attention to Harry’s past interactions with members of the media and sparked renewed debate across social media platforms.
