A close friend of the royal family has made explosive claims against Meghan Markle, alleging she played a central role in orchestrating the dramatic fallout between Prince Harry and the royal household, often referred to as “the Firm.”
The remarks were shared in an interview with royal correspondent Tom Sykes for The Daily Beast, where the unnamed friend offered a harsh account of how Meghan’s influence allegedly affected both Prince Harry and the late Queen Elizabeth II during her final years.
“You have to remember [that] the queen was seriously ill for several years with bone cancer,” the source said, revealing details about Her Majesty’s private health battle that were largely kept from the public during her lifetime.
“She knew she was dying, she could hardly see, she could hardly stand, she could hardly move,” the source continued. “Even in the midst of all that, she also had to face being completely let down by her grandson. It was utterly devastating for her.”
The friend described the emotional toll the situation took on the Queen, particularly as Prince Harry and Meghan stepped down from their royal roles in 2020 and later made highly publicized allegations against the monarchy.
In a similarly sharp tone, a close friend of Prince William also weighed in during the conversation with Sykes, placing the blame squarely on Meghan’s shoulders.
“[Harry] ain’t the sharpest tool in the box, and they feel he was completely manipulated and that Meghan saw him and realised she could become the most famous person in the world,” the friend claimed.
“Then the reality of what their boring royal life would be like sank in, and she decided to ruthlessly milk it for all it was worth. That is their view,” the source concluded.
These claims add to the ongoing and often bitter public discourse surrounding the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s departure from royal duties, their controversial media appearances, and their ongoing estrangement from the rest of the royal family.
While the Sussexes have not responded to these latest allegations, the comments reflect continued tensions and unresolved emotions within royal circles, especially among those who were close to Queen Elizabeth II in her final years.
As the royal family moves forward under King Charles III’s reign, the legacy of this internal rift continues to cast a shadow, with little sign of reconciliation on the horizon.
