It is no easy task to look sexy and classy at the same time. But Delta Goodrem managed it with ease after wearing a flowing peekaboo dress to the AACTA Awards in Sydney on Thursday. The saucy singer looked in fine figure indeed in the glorious purple gown, which showcased the lithe performers fantastic physique.
The 29-year-old pianist stole all the attention as she strutted down the pre-show red carpet, waving for fans and posing for photographs. And why not, for the former Neighbours favourite looked simply stunning. She certainly impressed showbiz legend Geoffrey Rush, who famously won a best actor Oscar for his turn in 1996 classic Shine, as he ran over to make sure he his picture taken with the musician.
Delta’s debut album in 2003 was the seventh best selling record in Australian history, and the talented songwriter is now working on her fifth album. She’s claims that her new music will explore new musical territories, and deviate from her usual formula of sitting behind a piano. Outside of music, Delta has found success on various talent shows, appearing as a judge on Australian Idol, The Voice Australia and soon, The Voice Kids.
She has found success in her love live over the years too, as she has previously dated tennis hotshot Mark Philippoussis, former Westlife singer Brian McFadden and American boyband star Nick Jonas.
