In recent months the Kentucky Republican has been vocal about the need to prohibit biological males who claim they are girls from competing in all-female sports, which was prophetic, really, given that the Biden regime and Democrats are set to pass the misnamed ‘Equality
Act,’ legislation that will destroy all of the progress feminists have made over the past century fighting for women’s rights by making it illegal to ‘discriminate’ against biological males competing in female sports.
And on Thursday, Paul broached the subject again during confirmation hearings featuring Joe Biden’s pick to head the Department of Health and Human Services, Dr. Rachel Levine, who is also a transgender (male-to-female).
Specifically, Paul wanted to know more about ‘her’ previous statements in which she advocated for allowing children as young as three to decide what sex they wanted to be and, further, permit them to act on those desires with sex change therapies and surgery.

Most alarmingly, Dr. Levine has advocated for sex changes for pre-pubertal people, otherwise known as “children.”
A professor of Pediatrics and Psychiatry at the Penn State College of Medicine, Levine has given lectures in various settings since at least 2012 on how to perform sex changes and gender conversion therapy on children.
According to Levine, children ought to be given the latitude to choose their own gender. Levine has advised adults to “try not to force them one way or other [sic]” and instead to follow the child’s lead.
Paul, understandably, wanted to know more.
“Dr. Levine, do you believe that minors are capable of making such a life-changing decision as changing one’s sex?” Paul, himself an ophthalmologist, asked.
“Transgender medicine is a very complex and nuanced field with robust research,” Levine responded, as Paul rightfully noted ‘she’ was avoiding his question.
“Do you support the government intervening to override a parent’s consent to give a child puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and/or amputation surgery of breasts or genitalia?” Paul pressed.
Levine repeated herself, noting that “transgender medicine is a very complex and nuanced field” while adding that she would be happy to have additional discussions about it with Paul and his staff — after she’s confirmed, of course.
“Let it go to the record that the witness refused to answer the question,” said Paul.
The Kentucky Republican noted that most kids with so-called “gender dysphoria” — a fairly recent term concocted by the left to sell a phenomenon that affects a percentage of the total population that barely registers — get over it and become comfortable with their birth sex if there is no medical intervention.
Other studies have found that up to 80 percent of children with gender dysphoria grow up not to identify as transgender, according to The Wall Street Journal.
But obviously, when it comes to this subject, Levine isn’t an impartial HHS nominee but rather a radical left-wing activist and you can bet she’ll view the issue of transgenderism and children through that lens.
