Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth Finalize Divorce, Ending Their 12-Year Marriage

In an under-the-radar development, actress Reese Witherspoon and talent agent Jim Toth have successfully concluded their divorce process, a mere four months after filing to end their 12-year marriage.

The former couple, who mutually agreed to part ways, have signed a marital dissolution agreement, as reported by TMZ.

Witherspoon, the 47-year-old Oscar-winning actress, and Toth, 53, who has recently been seen holidaying with a new romantic interest, also agreed on a parenting plan for their 10-year-old son, Tennessee James.

The “Legally Blonde” star officially filed for divorce from Toth in April, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for their separation in the court documents, a week after publicly announcing the end of their marriage.

This is Witherspoon’s second divorce. She was previously married to actor Ryan Phillippe, 48, from whom she divorced in 2008 after seven years of marriage. They share two children: Ava, 23, and Deacon, 19.

The couple filed the divorce documents in Nashville, Tennessee, where they reside with their son. The documents show that the couple signed a prenuptial agreement in March 2011. Witherspoon confirmed its validity, stating that it provides “adequate and sufficient provisions” for their assets and debts, as reported by TMZ.

The actress will present their prenuptial agreement and a permanent parenting plan for Tennessee for the court’s approval.

Since the divorce was filed in Davidson County, Witherspoon, and Toth are required to attend mandatory parenting classes. They have two months to submit a completion certificate to the court.

The divorce filing came a week after Witherspoon and Toth revealed their separation on social media, just two days prior to their 12th wedding anniversary.

Meanwhile, Toth has reportedly moved on, as he was spotted on a “romantic” vacation in Costa Rica with an unidentified woman, according to Harper’s Bazaar.
