Now We Have Our Excuse for Why Biden Can’t Do His State of the Union Address On Time

President Biden is overdue to schedule his State of the Union address, as reported earlier on Trending Politics.

Now, we have an excuse for why there are no current plans to hold the address expected earlier: Domestic terrorists allegedly seek to blow up his address.

“Acting Capitol Police Chief Yogananda Pittman said Thursday that security will remain tight because of intelligence that some militia groups that attacked the Capitol on Jan. 6 have threatened to ‘blow up’ the complex when President Biden delivers a joint address to Congress,” the Hill reported.

“We know that members of the militia groups that were present on Jan. 6 have stated their desires that they want to blow up the Capitol and kill as many members as possible with a direct nexus to the State of the Union,” Pittman said in testimony before a House Appropriations subcommittee.

“Based on that information, we think that it’s prudent that Capitol Police maintain its enhanced and robust security posture until we address those vulnerabilities,” she claimed.

President Joe Biden was expected to have given his first State of the Union address by now.

Although the mainstream press is issuing “fact checks” to dispute the claim Biden was supposed to have had one by February 20th, the AP earlier reported that he was supposed to have had one by February 23.

“US President Joe Biden is expected to deliver the annual State of the Union address on 23 February 2021 (date is still to be confirmed),” the Associated Press reported.

It is indisputable that the president can have the SOTU address whenever he or she wants. Or none at all, like Jimmy Carter chose in 1977. Or even submitted in writing, as the same president did in 1981.

But Biden will soon be running upon the longest period of time in the last three decades for a president to wait to give his first State of the Union Address.

Thus, if Joe Biden doesn’t give his State of the Union before Sunday, he will have eclipsed the modern timeline for presidents to give their first State of the Union Address.

A check of his presidential calendar gives no details on when a State of the Union may be forthcoming. America is in the midst of a COVID-19 pandemic, fallout from the Capitol riots, a Texas disaster, and other major emergencies. The Biden administration has issued an unprecedented flurry of executive orders, many of them highly controversial.

There are questions that Americans want answers to from their current Commander-in-Chief. Based on the latest news, they aren’t about to get them in the form of a State of the Union address anytime soon.

The U.S. media has repeatedly hyped the supposed threat from Trump supporters since the Capitol was attacked by far-right, anarchist and radical extremists on January 6th.

Despite these repeated claims, there was hardly a blip of protest from Trump supporters at the country’s 50 state capitols or the nation’s Capitol at Biden’s Inauguration.

In New York, however, dozens of police were reportedly injured in a violent riot carried out by BLM/Antifa rioters. It was one of thousands that have taken place in major cities around the country since late May, with barely a word of disparatement or alarm from the Democrats or associated media outlets.

One has to wonder if this terrorist bogeyman is being conjured up to mask a radical political agenda or even to hide the wavering health of the United States’ current president.
