Microsoft founder Bill Gates and his wife Melinda have completed the divorce process. The corresponding document is posted in the database of the Washington State court, where the former spouses previously applied.
The court documents add almost no details to the story. There is no agreement on the division of property, which probably should accompany the process of breaking up the marriage, in the documents published by the court. They only say that neither side intends to change the surname.

Bill and Melinda Gates were married for 27 years. The couple announced their decision to divorce in early May. This divorce was supposed to be one of the most expensive in history – the state of the spouses is estimated at $146 billion.
Over the past months, various assumptions have appeared about the reasons for the couple’s separation. The Wall Street Journal reported that Bill Gates was forced to resign from the Microsoft board of directors in 2020 due to an investigation into allegations of inappropriate relations with one of the employees.
The publication journalists did not directly say that such actions of Gates could cause dissatisfaction with his wife but quite transparently hinted at it.
The New York Times newspaper wrote that Melinda Gates was dissatisfied with her husband’s relationship with the millionaire Jeffrey Epstein, who was accused of sexual harassment and involving underage girls in prostitution. – freenews
