King Charles has reportedly ended all direct communication with his brother Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, even as the disgraced former royal continues trying to reach him through palace contacts.

The former Duke of York has faced mounting pressure in recent weeks, with new concerns surrounding his position, security and remaining public associations. According to insiders cited by Rob Shuter, Andrew is no longer speaking personally with the King, but has been attempting to communicate through members of Charles’ team.

“There’s no direct contact there anymore,” a source said, adding that Andrew has been making what insiders described as a desperate vow in hopes of softening the King’s stance toward him.

Andrew has reportedly insisted that he does not plan to leave the country, arguing that staying in the UK proves he has nothing to hide. The claim comes as scrutiny grows over allegations linked to leaked confidential documents from public office and offences referenced in the Epstein files.

“Andrew keeps insisting he has nothing to hide and nowhere to run,” the source noted. “But after years of scandals, almost nobody is willing to simply take him at his word.”

The source added that palace concerns remain high because Andrew is still free to travel if he chooses.

“Technically, nothing is stopping him from getting on a plane tomorrow,” the insider explained. “And that’s exactly what worries the palace.”

The report comes after Andrew was allegedly involved in a security scare while walking his dog at Sandringham. A man reportedly charged toward him, but Andrew and his bodyguard left the area in a car before the situation escalated further.

At the same time, efforts are reportedly underway to remove Andrew from the line of succession. He has also lost another honour after the City of London Corporation moved to strip him of a title, adding to the public fallout surrounding his status.

Despite Andrew’s reported attempts to plead his case, sources claim King Charles is not willing to engage with him directly. The monarch is said to be focused on limiting damage to the institution rather than resolving the matter as a private family dispute.

“This stopped being about family loyalty a long time ago,” another source added. “For Charles, it’s now about protecting the Crown.”

Insiders also claimed that few people inside the royal household are now willing to listen to Andrew’s grievances. After years of controversy, his appeals appear to have gained little sympathy within palace circles.
