Chris Hemsworth might be the god of thunder in the Marvel Universe, but at home, he is just another husband who has to live by the rules set by his wife Elsa Pataky. The Hollywood actor, who is best known for playing ‘Thor’ in Marvel movies, has a huge collection of his superhero memorabilia, including a series of his trademark hammers and loves to flaunt it like a proud owner. Pataky, on the other hand, is having a hard time getting her husband to keep his hammers out of their dining room.
In a recent interview with “Fitzy & Wippa”, an Australian radio show, the Spanish actress spoke about how Chris has a collection of every version of Thor’s iconic weapon of choice which he has used in various installments of Marvel movies. She also revealed that Chris keeps on putting the props in places they don’t belong — like the dining area. Needless to say, the lady of the house does not allow him to do that. “We have five of them from every movie we’ve done, like, seriously, no,” Elsa said.
Chris has appeared as Thor in more than eight marvel movies, including four stand-alone films and the ‘Avengers’ series. While the character has had a remarkable arc in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, his relationship with his Hammer continues to be one of the central themes of the storyline.
The actor has had two iconic weapons over the course of eight films- the ‘Mjolnir’, which features in all the Marvel films expect ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ where Thor used a larger and more powerful version of the weapon ‘Stormbreaker’. It seems like Chris is going to add another hammer to his collection after his fourth standalone movie as the god of thunder, ‘Thor: love and Thunder’ starring Tessa Thompson and Natalie Portman, hits the movie theaters on November 5, 2021.
