There were bound to be a few frock ups as the great and the good of the soap world descended on London. And Chelsee Healey and Katie McGlynn didn’t disappoint, leading the worst dressed at tonight’s bash. Hollyoaks star Chelsee stood out for all the wrong reasons in a fitted pale pink trouser suit. Her hair was scraped back away from her face and a giant bow around her neck completed her bizarre look.

Coronation Street star Katie also failed to impress in a a patterned mini dress with luminous green detail. She teamed the eye-catching dress with over-the-knee boots, channeling a 60s vibe. Emmerdale’s Laura Norton appeared to leave most of her outfit at home, flashing her unflattering white bra beneath a see-through top. Ignoring the boobs or legs rule, she teamed her revealing top with a black mini skirt.

Meanwhile, other stars pulled out all the stops to make sure they grabbed attention for the right reasons. Corrie star Kym looked stunning in a black jumpsuit which featured a plunging neckline. A big belt accentuated her trim waist and her hair was styled into a neat quiff. Neighbours star Olympia Valance made jaws drop in a floor-length black frock which cut dangerously low.

Dark horse Emmerdale nabbed the Best Soap Award for the second year running, tying Coronation Street with four trophies this year. However EastEnders bagged the most Awards with a grand total of five, including the most wanted Best Actor and Best Actress prizes for Steve McFadden – aka Phil Mitchell – and Lacey Turner, who had the nation gripped as Stacey Fowler.

Amelia Flanagan, who plays Emmerdale’s April Windsor, scored a hat-trick as she picked up the Best Young Actor prize for the third time in a row, while EastEnders-turned-Strictly star Tameka Empson , who stars as Walford’s Kim Fox-Hubbard, picked up the Funniest Female Award for an amazing fifth time!
Corrie’s Shayne Ward made it a trio of Best Newcomer prizes, having also nabbed the trophy at this year’s National Television Awards and TV Choice Awards.
