Jennifer Aniston REVEALS why she finally joined Instagram

Jennifer Aniston literally broke Instagram when the actress finally made her debut on the social media app after keeping herself out of the hysteria for so many years. While appearing on The Ellen Show, the Friends alum revealed why she jumped on the bandwagon and joined IG.

October 2019 was indeed a spectacular time for Friends fans, as Jennifer Aniston literally broke Instagram by joining the social media app. The actress now holds the first place in the Guinness Book of World Records for getting the fastest one million followers on IG in five hours and 16 minutes, beating the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle (five hours and 45 minutes). Not only that but Jennifer made her IG debut a memorable one by sharing the epic Friends cast reunion dinner selfie, from the 25th anniversary celebrations of the iconic sitcom, which was held at Courteney Cox’s LA home, as her first IG photo.

But, one wonders why Ms. Aniston, who has mostly stayed averse from social media for the longest time decided to finally jump on the bandwagon. While appearing on The Ellen Show, good friend Ellen DeGeneres posed the same question to which Jen revealed, “It was just one of those things. Eventually — it’s not going anywhere, right? So why not join the party? And it’s not that scary. [You can] share information, connect with your fans, right wrongs that are said about you, have fun, make fun of yourself, make fun of people. Help animals get rescued.”
