Meghan Markle’s ‘Suits’ Co-Star Demands A Royal Family Apology But Britons Tell DB Woodside, ‘Back Off!’

Meghan Markle’s former co-star on Suits wants the royal family to apologize to her. DB Woodside, who played the lawyer Jeff Malone in the cable drama, claimed that the royals picked the wrong woman to mess with since she is strong and resilient.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Woodside showed his support for the Duchess of Sussex who shared her negative experiences as a working royal in an interview with Oprah Winfrey. The actor said that it will be hard to knock down Meghan Markle because of her strength and then he called on the royal family to apologize to her.

Woodside, who is currently on the massively popular Netflix show, Lucifer, said he had no inkling that his co-star was dating a British prince because Meghan kept it “tight.” He thinks it’s great, however, that Meghan found her true love in Prince Harry.

The actor’s demand for an apology received a backlash from the British people on social media. Some said that it’s not the royal family who has to apologize but Harry and Meghan. The people also said that Woodside should just “stick to his day job” because he doesn’t understand what’s going on.

In early March, the Duchess of Sussex’s other Suits co-star, Patrick J. Adams, posted a scathing response directed against the royal family amid claims that Meghan bullied members of the royal staff during her time at the palace. Adams said that the royal family dynamics are complicated, archaic and toxic and he doesn’t believe the bullying claims because, as Meghan’s on-screen partner, he found her to be “enthusiastic, kind, cooperative, giving, joyful and supportive” as a friend and co-worker for more than seven years.

Adams told the royals to “find someone else to torment” because Meghan is “out of your league.” The actor also called out the British tabloid media for their “sickening” coverage of the Duchess of Sussex.

The actor’s comments also received a lot of responses from the British people defending the royal family. One comment said that Meghan is definitely out of their league because the royal family “has class.” The other commenters said that Adams also knows nothing about British traditions and culture because he’s a Hollywood star. Adams, however, is Canadian, which is a part of the queen’s Commonwealth countries.

The creator of Suits, Aaron Korsh, also said that Meghan Markle is not a “monster” as reported in the British tabloid press. The executive producer said that while he does not know the specifics of the bullying claims, he experienced warmness and kindness from Meghan while they were working together.
