Miley Cyrus And Cody Simpson Getting Married In Australia?

Are Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson about to get married in Australia? That’s what one tabloid has claimed this week, but it’s simply not the case.

Following her high profile split from ex-husband Liam Hemsworth last summer, Miley Cyrus struck up a romantic relationship with singer Cody Simpson.

Cyrus, who called time on her brief romance with influencer Kaitlyn Carter last September, has been spotted on regular outings with her long-time friend Simpson, from coffee catch-ups and film nights to tattoo parlour visits and visits home to Nashville with her family.

Cyrus and Simpson – who is an Australian musician, singer, actor and University of Southern California’s Trojan Swim Elite team competitor – have been close friends for years, with Simpson admitting that the singer is one of his ‘best friends’ in an interview with GQ in 2015.

‘Miley is one of my best friends and she helps with some of that transitional stuff – trying to escape your childhood,’ he told the publication. ‘She’s super open-minded and I’m working on becoming more like that.’

Over the years, the pair and their friends have enjoyed holidays to Miami and celebrated Simpson’s 18^th birthday together with his ex-girlfriend Gigi Hadid.

The “source” also speculates that the ceremony is “just another way to get back” at her ex-husband Liam Hemsworth, as the Gold Coast is relatively close to Hemsworth’s home base of Byron Bay. “Miley can be such a brat,” the spiteful insider finishes. “I wouldn’t put it past her to send him an invitation just to not-so-subtly remind him she’s happier without him!”
