Last month, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced their desire to become more financially independent thus deciding to quit The Firm for good.
During her interview on “60 Minutes,” royal expert Germaine Greer said that she hopes Markle is really in love with Prince Harry and that she’s not just faking it for her personal gain.
The royal expert also talked about Prince Harry and Markle’s royal wedding and called it terrible because the majority of their guests were celebrities.
“As if Meghan lived in a completely artificial world. The whole point of showbiz – it’s not real, it won’t sustain you,” she said.
Before Prince Harry and Markle tied the knot two years ago, Greer shared her predictions about the royal couple. The expert said that she thinks the Duchess of Sussex will bolt and she will take Prince Harry with her. Almost two years later, Greer’s eerie prediction came true.
Prior to the Sussexes’ departure from the royal family, Greer said that it is possible for Prince Harry to have fallen in love with Markle because he was looking for a way out.
Royal author Angela Levin weighed in on Prince Harry and Markle’s relationship by saying that the Duke of Sussex got into a relationship with his wife because he has been “longing for a life less royal.”
When asked what Prince Harry was looking for in women before meeting Markle, Levin said that Archie’s dad likes spikey women who have strength and opinions of her own. The interviewer asked Levin if she thinks that Prince Harry got exactly what he wanted with his wife, and the royal author said that Markle is a little too spikey.
Levin also said that the Duchess of Sussex is the one who wears the trousers in her marriage to Prince Harry.
“And as he [Prince Harry] said before the wedding, ‘what Meghan wants, Meghan gets.’ And he’s very, very keen on making her happy, I think to the detriment of himself,” she said.
