Prince Harry revealed his new romantic interest to his brother, Prince William, and sister-in-law Kate during a quiet evening at Kensington Palace.

According to Harry’s memoir “Spare,” he shared the news of his relationship with American actress Meghan Markle over dinner. Reflecting on the events, Harry mentioned that his brother had sensed that something was happening and expressed curiosity.

In the account, Prince George and Princess Charlotte had already gone to bed, while Prince Louis had not yet been born. Prior to disclosing his relationship with Meghan, known at the time as Rachel Zane from the TV series “Suits,” Harry made William and Kate promise to keep it a secret.

In his memoir, Harry recounts their reaction: “Their mouths fell open. They turned to each other. Then Willy turned to me and said ‘F— off.'” This response left Harry perplexed, as William and Kate apparently claimed it was impossible. The couple, being fans of “Suits,” were well aware of Meghan’s identity. According to The Mirror, Harry later recalls their first meeting, admitting to feeling more nervous about that encounter than meeting the Queen herself.

Harry further writes, “After a wait, the door opened, and there was my big brother, a bit dressed up. Nice trousers, nice shirt, open collar. I introduced Meg, who leaned in and gave him a hug, which completely freaked him out. He recoiled. Willy didn’t hug strangers, whereas Meg hugged most strangers.”

This moment represented a collision of cultures, adding a touch of humor and charm to the situation. The visit was brief as the brothers had plans for a shooting trip, but William and Meghan apparently exchanged a few warm words during their interaction.
