A small crowd of Angelenos gathered on Wednesday evening at the home of Katherine Ross and Michael Govan to honor Shane Gabier and Christopher Peters of Creatures of the Wind. Thankfully, the oppressive afternoon heat subsided just in time for the backyard get-together.
Liberty Ross and Nora Zehetner gathered on the back patio surrounded by lush greenery and sampled miniature mozzarella and tomato skewers while talking with Shane and Chris about their new collection.
Marisa Tomei, wearing a red Creatures of the Wind knit top, and Irene Neuwirth, in a soft pink Marni top and apple red Prada skirt, caught up with one another, while Alia Penner sat with Greg Chait on an outdoor banquette and sipped a margarita, the evening’s specialty cocktail.
As the night drew to a close and the mini chocolate-drizzled Rice Krispies Treats were all consumed, some guests were spotted sneaking into the kitchen to hunt for more. Clandestine desserts? Sounds like a sweet end to a fun evening.
