The glitz and glamour of the Tony Awards 2016 is in full swing at Beacon Theatre in New York City. James Corden is set to host the celebration of theatre on a night that will be magical. James, James Earl Jones, Daniel Dae Kim, Carole King, Diane Lane, Nathan Lane, Angela Lansbury, Lucy Liu, Steve Martin, Marlee Matlin, Audra McDonald, Patina Miller, Bebe Neuwirth, Andre Rannells, Chita Rivera, Saoirse Ronan, Keri Russell, Meg Ryan, Barbra Streisand, Aaron Tveit, Blair Underwood, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Oprah Winfrey.

One of the top awards of the night is for Best Play where the following are nominated: “Eclipsed” by Danai Gurira, “The Father” by Florian Zeller, “The Humans” by Stephen Karam and “King Charles III” by Mike Bartlett. In the Best Musical category the following productions scored a nod: “Bright Star," “Hamilton," “School of Rock-The Musical," “Shuffle Along, Or the Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed” and “Waitress."
