According to New Idea, Brad Pitt threatened to drag Jolie in jail if the actress would try to stall the proceedings again.
“It’s no exaggeration to say Brad’s scared of Angie, and he wants professional witnesses with them at all times. He’ll have no issue bringing in the cops if she shouts at him in an abusive way or gives him cause to believe it’s an unsafe environment in any way, shape, or form,” the source said.
Tensions between Pitt and Jolie are, allegedly, unbearable right now. But the exes have no other choice but to sit down together and work things out.
“I’m sure it would be the ultimate revenge to see Angie led away in handcuffs,” the source said.
Pitt has been requesting the court to grant him 50/50 custody of his five minor children. However, Jolie is trying to demand full custody of their kids. Unfortunately for the Maleficent star, Pitt isn’t going to accept anything less than joint custody.
“It’s important to Brad Pitt that the kids don’t worry about their parents’ current situation and that they don’t feel stuck in the middle in any way. Brad has avoided this court scenario for years, and the last thing he would ever want is for this to have a negative outcome for everyone. This is about getting time with his children… He knows his love and presence are needed,” the source said.
However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. There is no proof that Pitt wants to see his ex-wife in handcuffs.
While it is true that Pitt and Jolie are battling it out in court, details about the proceedings are being kept under wraps. As such, it’s unlikely for a tabloid to know what’s been going on between the A-listers.
Earlier this month, Us Weekly revealed that Pitt wants 50/50 custody of his kids. An insider also told the magazine that Pitt is confident that he and Jolie could work out an agreement in court.
“Brad is asking for 50/50 custody to be put in place and stay in place. Angelina wants to be fair when it comes to custody. She is very structured with the children. Brad has high hopes [they can] try to make it work because of the importance of co-parenting,” a source said.
This shows that Brad Pitt isn’t trying to take down Jolie.
