MMPR to Represent Christopher Collins Collection

LOS ANGELES- October 9, 2012-  Known for his premium line of women’s sportswear, Project Runway’s Season 8 finalist, Christopher Collins is a perfect blend of raw talent, sincere charisma and ambitious detail, which is found in every one of his pieces of his self-named line, Christopher Collins™. Prior to national recognition as a Season 8 Project Runway contestant, Christopher Collins was already recognized as an emerging designer- noted as someone to watch.

Launched in 2008 with best friend and Chief Managing Director, Erica Tanamachi, the collection of fine silks, and tailored Elizabethan collars has gained immediate exposure. Made of the upmost quality, Christopher Collins™ breathes luxury, high fashion and femininity. The line consists of office to evening attire with fall staples including a lambswool Storm Long Cloud Coat that fits luxuriously like a sweater and ties in the front.

The French knit Patchwork Vest Tunic and Buffalo Vest are inviting with comfort and convey a Bohemian look with intricate detail, and the Italian wool Slotted Sleeve Cape & Rouched Sleeve Blazer suavely finish off an ensemble for the business girl on the run. The core pieces perfectly complete every woman’s wardrobe with a go-to Wrap Dress made of Ponte, an Italian knitted Tie Top to accompany the denim Trouser, and an essential LBD that every fashionista needs.

The silhouettes are painted in dramatic fall shades of Sienna, Autumn, Brown, Navy, Grey and Black with a common theme of suede, silk, chiffon, and jersey accents seen throughout. The brand incorporates its entire palette of colors and textures amongst the collection and has even leaped one step ahead stretching its leverage to design one-of-a kind exclusive pieces for high profile clients.

“Christopher Collins is redefining American Sportswear,” Project Runway’s Tim Gunn once said, and Collins continues on to fulfill this legacy as he designs fashion forward pieces crafted from fine fabrics from Italy, France and Japan with a fit that rivals the greatest in the industry. With over ten years of fashion experience under his belt, Collins is confident “everything played out exactly the way it should have.” After his elimination on the show in 2010, Collins says, “I came home to a business, a collection, and everything I’ve already got going for me. I wouldn’t have changed a thing. Not even down to going one more challenge.”

Christopher Collins™ is sold at Neiman Marcus as well as hundreds of boutiques throughout the United States and Canada and there are plans to launch an e-commerce site in January 2013
