Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s divorce drama has shown no sign of stopping after the rapper took to Instagram on Wednesday, asking for divine intervention to heal and restore his broken family. The recent post came after the Skims founder revealed her newly found freedom following their split in 2021.
In the Wednesday content, the “Donda” rapper, 44, captioned a gallery of family pictures with an all-caps request that reads, “God please bring our family together,” the New York Daily News reported.
His plea came just days after “Saturday Night Live” funnyman Pete Davidson referred to Kim as his “girlfriend” for the first time since they began dating late last year following their skit together as Aladdin and Princess Jasmine in October.
Kanye also just recently wiped out his family posts on Instagram, making it more about his business and music ventures, following a war of words with his estranged wife amid issues with Chicago’s 4th birthday celebration and North being exposed to TikTok.
Notably, the new snaps of Kardashian and their kids that Ye posted on Wednesday were from Vogue’s March 2022 cover shoot. In that same magazine issue, the mom of four, 41, opened up about choosing her happiness that she said led her to file for divorce with the Grammy Award-winning rapper, her husband of seven years.
Since Kimye’s split, the reality TV star has remained fairly tight-lipped about the issue but opted to offer bold and rare insights into the whole family drama during her interview with the popular fashion and lifestyle magazine, according to E! Online.
“For so long, I did what made other people happy,” Kim, who had two failed marriages before tying the knot with Ye in 2014, said. “And I think in the last two years I decided, I’m going to make myself happy. And that feels good even if that created changes and caused my divorce.”
“You could be so hurt or angry at your ex, but I think in front of the kids, it always has to be ‘Your dad’s the best,'” she continued. “Make sure you are your co-parent’s biggest cheerleader, no matter what you’re personally going through.”
The 2021 People’s Choice Fashion Icon Award recipient would also confess she is now wondering what her next fashion era would be without Kanye. She previously credited the Yeezy fashion designer for “introducing” her to the fashion world and connecting her with designers like Riccardo Tisci and Balmain’s Olivier Routeing.
Meanwhile, an unfazed Julia Fox, West’s current muse and girlfriend did not mince words when she said, “he’s with me now” in a new interview.
The 32-year-old “Uncut Gems” actress shared that West got hold of her phone number from a mutual friend at the beginning of their relationship earlier this year. When asked about her beau’s previous marriage, she said, “I’m sure there’s still some sort of residual feelings, and it’s normal, it’s human,” she said per Billboard.
